A major challenge for any Web UI is how to render well on a variety of devices and screen sizes. One approach is to create a separate Web UI version for every type of device (desktop, tablet, mobile). Some of our clients use industrial monitors in their warehouses which vary in screen size and resolution. In this case, the use of such an approach is inefficient, expensive, difficult to support and therefore unacceptable. We needed one Web UI that is adaptive and serves all devices. For this purpose, we have built our own responsive GWT solution, which is based on fluid grids and proportions. Any Web UI solution that we develop, can have responsive design already implemented and can support as many devices and as many languages as the client desires.
